As you may know we are very big on giving back and reducing our carbon footprint. NewlyMaid is a innovative concept brought to you by The Dessy Group that does just that. Bridesmaids can trade-in their gently worn dresses for credit towards a new little black dress (LBD). The process is simple.
1. Select an old bridesmaid dress that you won’t ever wear again. NewlyMaid accepts dresses from ALL manufacturers in the bridal industry including bridesmaids, mother of the bride, social occasion and prom dresses. The dress must be in good quality condition with no pulls, tears, stains or other blemishes. All zippers and clasps must be in good working order. They do not accept bridal gowns, flower girl or quinceanera dresses.
2. Mail your old bridesmaid dress to NewlyMaid. Create an account on NewlyMaid.com and order a pre-paid mailer to send in your old dress. Follow the instructions for packaging your dress to send to us. NewlyMaid will accept dresses that are not dry-cleaned if they are properly sealed in the clear packaging provided. Then, just bring your mailer to any Kinkos, FEDEX or call (800)GoFedEx for a pickup. Your package is pre-paid, so you need only drop it off.
3. Unlock special pricing for the purchase of a NewlyMaid dress. Once your package is received, your dress will be inspected to make sure it meets the NewlyMaid criteria listed above. If it does, you will be sent an email notification that your dress has been accepted, and that special pricing has been turned on for your account. Just sign in to your NewlyMaid account to purchase your NewlyMaid dress.
4. Purchase your new Little Black Dress, perfect for any occasion. Browse NewlyMaid’s latest selection of dresses and find the perfect Little Black Dress for any occasion – whether you are looking for a sophisticated style for the office, a classic style for brunch with the girls, a glamorous style for a night out on the town or all of the above.
{ What Happens to Your Dress? } After inspection, your dress will be used in one of the following ways:
1} Recycling: Some dresses will be broken down and used to create new yarn which will be incorporated into the creation of future NewlyMaid styles.
2} Donation to charity: A significant portion of the returned garments will be donated to organizations that can distribute them to people in need around the globe.
