Happy 4th of July weekend SJE fans! When I think of the 4th of July, I think of FOOD! Every Friday this month we’re going to highlight trends in wedding food. Since I’m the first to take the plunge, I’d like to start with dessert of course.
Although the candy buffet is awesome not everyone likes candy. Gasp, how shocking? Here are four alternatives to the candy buffet:
1. Cookie display. You could have small cartons of milk chilling on ice to make the display complete.
2. Soda Fountain. How about an old fashioned soda fountain display where guests can make their own floats?
3. Sundae Station. Allow guests the opportunity to embellish their own ice cream sundaes with all the trimmings!
4. Salty Treats. Maybe you or your fiancee love trail mix, pretzels, and potato chips. Let guests pack a snack for later!
