Selecting your bridesmaids and groomsmen should be taken seriously. Members of your wedding party should be dependable because there are several things that will be asked of them during the wedding planning process (i.e. attend pre-ceremony events, not to mention the wedding, and purchase/rent their attire for the wedding). However, most importantly they will stand beside you on your wedding day. The following are a couple of items to keep in mind when selecting your wedding party:
- Make sure you include those that are very close to you and not go with a wedding party member out of obligation. Weddings are truly an emotional experience and you should be surrounded by those that know you best.
- When picking your maid of honor and best man take this task very seriously because these are the people who will be assisting you through your whole wedding planning. You want to make sure you pick someone who is not selfish and not afraid to pick up a little extra responsibility.
- Last, but not least select people, who you can laugh with, have fun and enjoy your wedding.
